Our Founder
“I founded the Migrant Women Professional Network with a deep understanding of the importance of connections and a support network…”
As a previous international student from Malaysia, I understand how difficult it is to stand out when applying for jobs. It was not easy for me too, but I took the initiative to participate in mentorship programs, internships, volunteering opportunities and networking events during my time at university. This led me to my first role at SAHMRI Wellbeing and Resilience Centre. That role taught me how to thrive under pressure and use resilience skills to overcome various challenges.
In my current role as the Career Services Coordinator, I use my personal experience to advice students as it gives me a unique perspective and empathy to navigate this tough market. I organise career related workshops and events and build relationships with organisations to educate them on the importance of hiring students. I also work with students on a one on one basis to understand their needs and help them to achieve their full potential.

Outside of work, I am an avid networker! I love meeting new people and listening to their stories. I keep myself busy by being a Business Career Mentor at the University of South Australia and started my MBA in 2020. I was also one of the youngest member in the Study Adelaide board where I was able to provide my fresh perspective and innovative ideas to help international students in Adelaide.
I founded a group for professional women migrant to support and empower them through networking and opportunities to build social connections. The group provides a safe and supportive environment for migrant women to connect, learn and grow together. Established in January 2023, we had monthly events that have engaged over 600 participants from 40 countries.
